The Guardian Natural Gas model is a safety device for use with natural gas stoves. It turns the gas stove OFF when you forget by using the advanced technology found in security monitoring devices and a specially programmed micro-controller.

The Guardian Natural Gas model controls the stove’s gas supply system to help prevent food and pots from burning, as well as reducing the risk of fire caused by unattended cooking.

GDN-GAS-2010 EMU FEATURES

Fail Safe Operation Feature: Automatically disables power to the stove if the EMU control unit fails, or is unplugged.

Stove Off Mode: The stove can be turned off with one button touch. With the Password Locking Feature, it gives possibility to the care giver to restrain stove use without the need to move the stove and unplug the power cord.

Stove Guard now has an Audible Alarm: This notifies the user when the Stove Guard turns the stove off, (no movement for the preset time or countdown timer reaches 0). This audible alarm can be disabled.

Natural Gas Sensor: The added natural gas sensor will turn off the main gas valve if it senses an unsafe level of gas in the kitchen. This could be caused by a gas leak or an element flame that has gone out, allowing the gas to continue to escape into the room causing the potential of a serious explosion or fire.

POWER BOX

The power box is a Nema approved box, which contains a cable for a wall outlet 115V AC, a cable for connection to the gas valve, and a white signal cable for connection to the electronic monitor unit. It also contains a printed circuit board, transformer and integrated circuit.

NATURAL GAS VALVE

The highest quality natural gas valve is a device that controls gas supply to the gas stove. The natural gas valve is CSA us, UL Listed, FM Approved. It is a 1/2" solenoid valve designed for fuel gas service. Valve bodies are made of rugged aluminum with trim and internal parts made of steel and stainless steel. These valves are provided with a general purpose juntion box solenoid enclosure. Made in the USA.

EMU - ELECTRONIC MONITORING UNIT

Stove Guard's EMU is preset at the factory to the highest fire safety setting of 1 minute. This is the recommended setting for anyone with Alzheimers or similiar medical condition. This time may be adjusted according to the user's situation.

When properly installed, adjusted, and set in AUTO mode, Stove Guard will automatically shut the Natural gas stove off if no one is present in the monitored cooking area for the preset period of time.

Stove Guard can also be used in a TIMER mode to set a maximum cooking time, after which the gas stove will be automatically turned OFF.

Must be installed by a licenced professional. Failure to use a professional to install this model will result in possible loss of life, warranty & property insurance.

Important Personal Safeguards

Stove Guard must be tested with the Individual who requires this device and adjusted to their personal needs, as well as adjusted to the home environment to ensure proper functioning. Additional fire safety devices such as smoke detectors and fire extinguishers must also be used to ensure complete cooking fire safety.
